Abstract
Studies on child L2 acquisition, in particular those comparing child L2 learners to child L1 learners and/or adult L2 learners, can provide unique evidence on the role of age and the role of the first language during language acquisition. While to date, the majority of studies on child L2 acquisition are based on offline data, there is a growing number of psycholinguistic studies with this population. The chapter will illustrate research perspectives and key findings of these studies.
