Abstract

The synthesis of a new mesoporous BTD-COF based on a transesterification reaction was carried out in a two step microwave synthesis procedure in only 40 min: first the pinacolboronate 4,7-bis4-(4,4,5,5)-tetramethyl-1,3,2]dioxaborolan-2-yl)-phenyl]-be nzo1,2,5]-thiadiazole (BTDBE) was cleaved with HCl, in a second step addition of hexahydroxytriphenylene (HHTP) resulted in the growth of the crystalline framework with high surface area and a pore size of about 4 nm.
