Abstract
Congenital lung malformations are a rare entity and demonstrate a broad spectrum regarding the size of lesions and clinical symptoms. Congenital pulmonary airway malformation (CPAM), lung sequestration, bronchogenic cysts and congenital lobar emphysema are among the most frequent lung malformations. This article explains these lung malformations with respect to symptoms, diagnostics and therapy. Furthermore, a brief overview about the current status of fetal interventions is given.
