Abstract
Cardiac arrhythmias in children are relatively rare events and therefore represent a great cognitive and emotional challenge for pediatricians. During the acute situation, however, a specific diagnosis of the arrhythmia is usually not necessary because the initial therapy depends on the clinical condition of the child. With reference to simple guidelines, every pediatrician is able to perform an adequate acute treatment.
