Abstract
P.Ant. III 128, a fragment from a medical compilation, is identified in the present paper to contain a passage from the treatise “On Therapeutic Aids” by Antyllus (2nd century A.D.). In the papyrus, the author’s indication is apparently given in the form of a running title. Therefore, the phenomenon of running titles in papyri and manuscripts is discussed. The study concludes with an overview on ancient treatises entitled “On Therapeutic Aids”, along with a reconstruction of the table of contents of Antyllus’ lost work.
