Abstract
The large gain bandwidth of the Ti:sapphire laser has been exploited to produce high average power ultrashort pulses which are tunable over the range 755 to 875 nm while maintaining a sub-20 fs pulse duration. We present a spectrometer designed around this laser which simultaneously generates synchronized sub-20 is pulses of high average power at both fundamental and second harmonic wavelengths.
