Abstract

Nutrition plays an important but often neglected role in the prevention and treatment of pancreatic cancer. This begins with preventive nutritional strategies combined with evidence-based nutritional education. For patients undergoing treatment for pancreatic cancer, nutrition therapy can positively influence factors, such as weight stabilization, management of side effects, quality of life and prognosis. It is essential that all nutritional interventions are evidence based and individually tailored to the specific situation. This article gives ashort overview of the most important current recommendations.
