Abstract
Religious education is influenced by a variety of stress factors. One of them is the change in religious demographics. But how do these stress factors relate to other influencing factors and to the goals of religious education? How can we consider contextual specificities and develop general concepts at the same time? We make use of Kate Raworth's doughnut model, which originates from sustainability discourse, to model the interaction of relevant factors with regard to religious education. To test the model, we show how the impact of the paradigm shift on religious education can be described with its help.
