Abstract
This paper is concerned with the notion of ‘subjectivity’ in a primarily linguistic perspective. Dealing with subjectivity, linguistics is confronted with basically the same problems as philosophy. These problems are mainly based on the underlying dualistic thinking rooted in classical Aristotelian logic. The present paper proposes a triadic redefinition of subjectivity in terms of Gotthard Günther’s transclassical logic and Charles S. Peirce’s triadic sign conception. This redefinition of subjectivity and its application to language is exemplified with the category of ‘indirectivity’ in Bulgarian.
