Abstract

[This paper argues that historic and linguistic considerations exclude both the Hurrian and the Tyrrhenian explanation of the origins of the Kizzuwatna Luwian possessive construction. There is actually no need for an external reason, since the traditional model (re-analysis of the plural endings) adequately explains the origins of this construction.]
