Abstract
Drawing on ethnographic fieldwork in Azad Kashmir's capital Muzaffarabad, this chapter studies the interactions between families and the state's housing reconsntruction programme after the 2005 earthquake. It shows how people re-constructed the home not only materially but also socially and politically.
