Abstract

Christian Faith is fundamental for pastoral care. But it is a specific task to reflect upon function and form of christian faith in pastoral care. The focus of this article lies on ‘learning faith’ as a goal for pastoral care and the idealistic or realistic quality of this goal. Unique challenges of a faith-centered pastoral care and its theory seem to be founded in the character of both pastoral care and faith itself.
