Abstract
Pirqa de-Rabbenu ha-Qadosh – a widely-disseminated Jewish anthology – was discovered in five rotulus fragments from the Cairo Genizah. In this article, the Genizah fragments of this popular Jewish anthology are compared to similar texts from Christian and Muslim contexts. In order to detect the specific use and function of Pirqa de-Rabbenu ha-Qadosh we compare these fragments to their Christian and Muslim counterparts as they share numerous similarities which allow to make sense of this complex Jewish text corpus.
