Abstract
World wars and revolutionary upheavals of the twentieth century set off a number of streams of refugees and led, inter alia, to the dissolution of traditional religious geographies. Russian Orthodoxy was also affected following the 1917 October Revolution. The following contribution is dedicated to the development of a worldwide polycentric Orthodoxy of Russian origin and to the various survival and assimilation strategies of such groups in the diaspora.
