Abstract
Between March 2016 and March 2018 the Linden-Museum Stuttgart and the University Tübingen carried out a joined research project titled “Discomforting Heritage: Objects from Zolonial Contexts in Anthropological Museums”. Part of the research addressed the histories of these institutions and their collections by implementing a systematic mode of provenanct research, the following article details the research approach and summarises its results.
