Abstract

Recently, learning with computer networks has become an eagerly discussed topic in the literature of educational technology. In the discussions concerned, technical aspects often predominate the educational aspects of computer networks. We analyze examples of network applications in three central pedagogical areas of school, university, and further education from a constructivist perspective. The research question is to what extent learning environments using computer nets meet central criteria of constructivist instructional approaches.
